Step 2: Type your address and password into the fields at the right side of the window, then click the Sign In button. Step 1: Open a Web browser window and navigate to. Since you would need to go to and individually and use different credentials to access each account, then linking both of them makes a lot of sense, and will save you some time. Linking your Hotmail and accounts makes a lot of sense if you intend to keep using both of them. But if you already have a Hotmail account and do not want to stop using it, you can easily link your new account to your Hotmail account, which will allow you to effortlessly switch between the two accounts without needing to navigate to each individual site. For people that might be intimidated by the Gmail layout or simply find that there is too much going on, could be a nice alternative. The interface is clean and simple, and everything seems to run smoothly. While I do enjoy Gmail and will continue using it as my primary email account, there is a lot to like about.
